Every figure below comes directly from the official ballot.
Just over half a penny on a $1 purchase.
The ballot spells this out: 0.6%, equal to 60 cents on a $100 purchase.
The ballot excludes City sales tax on grocery food from this increase.
Sales tax is paid by anyone buying in Greeley, including visitors and shoppers from nearby towns, not just residents.
The rate, the grocery food exclusion, and the approved uses come from the Ballot Issue 2F ballot language.
The ballot language names four types of capital projects 2F would fund, with spending subject to independent review by a citizens committee.

A new city hall, public plaza and parking garage, including related infrastructure, amenities and improvements.

Recreational, cultural, and service facilities that provide spaces for community activities, programs, public services, and year-round recreation.

A multi-purpose arena, youth ice center, an indoor water park, hotel, convention center

Improvements to city parks, playgrounds, swimming pools, trails and other outdoor spaces, including related infrastructure and amenities.

2F is an investment in the city our kids and grandkids will inherit. Here’s what it funds.
Just over half a penny on the dollar: 6 cents on a $10 lunch, 60 cents on a $100 purchase. Grocery food is excluded.
The Downtown Civic Campus, the West Greeley Catalyst Project, parks, trails, swimming pools, playgrounds, and recreational and cultural facilities. That keeps existing City revenue available for streets and deferred maintenance.
An independent Citizens Committee reviews the spending. The tax ends when the financing is paid off, or December 31, 2067, whichever comes first.
